What Women Like About the Different types of Condoms
Nowadays, condoms come in a variety of sizes, colors, and even flavors. There are small ones, skinny ones, purple ones, strawberry ones, peppermint ones.you name it, and it probably exists. Soon, we might find that we already have as many types of condoms as Hallmark have cards. There used to be a time in another era when there was only one kind of condom out in the market, as far as the texture (or nubbing) is concerned. That has changed in monumental fashion. Nowadays, they can be adorned with latex or they can be ribbed. Some of them can just be on the exterior but some are studded both inside and outside. Presumably, this is also to provide the user with added enjoyment.
There are hundreds of condoms out there and to make it easer, basically all condoms fall into 8 general categories, based on the primary consideration. The first is the material; condoms are either made from polyurethane or latex. Second is size that involves the width and not the length. However, those available in convenience stores tend to be of the standard size. Third is the kind of lubrication, different lubes are used by different brands. Fourth is the spermicidal.
The most common spermicidal is called nonoxynol-9. But be careful some individuals are highly sensitive to this and prolonged use can actually heighten the risk of HIV-infection. Fifth is the Ribbed. There people out there, who were it not for the prevalence of STD’s would never use condoms due to the loss of sensation. This type is the ideal condom for them. Its ridges make sex more "feel-able" for both him and her. Next is colour, enough said, this is fairly self-explanatory. Seventh would be flavour, this is for those individuals who have a propensity for oral sex. Tastes can range from strawberry to liquorice. Eighth and the last, is the reservoir tipped. Most condoms in fact have a reservoir tip to hold the semen from the climax as opposed to the few others which have plain tips. For the reservoir type, it is important to remember to pinch the tip while rolling the c! ondom on, as this prevents air from getting in which could cause the condom to break during sex. Actually, there is one more type, but since this article is aimed at men’s condoms, a simple mention will suffice. This is of course the female condom (If you are a guy reading this and you averse to putting on condoms, this should give you an idea, right?)
Now that we have categorised them, we can move onto the more important part whi! ch is to answer the question "what makes a good condom?" Material wise, latex is probably is the most preferred. The presence of lubricants, water-based is preferred with condoms that are pre-lubricated with spermicidal gel or foam. While petroleum jelly, baby oil or cream can be used as lubricant this is risky, as these types have the tendency to weaken the condom, even latex. As always packaging is key a sexy penis is also an invitation (probably the reason why the glow-in-the dark condoms are so popular).
But more importantly, what do women want in a condom? Some condoms are packaged in such a way as t! o look like tampon containers and some women find this appealing. Form is also important – to illustrate, French ticklers have a popular appeal as these increase pleasure during intercourse. It is for this reason that some women insist that their lovers buy ultra thin condoms. Of course, not all nationalities are alike. In Japan women in fact, prefer using condoms over taking the pill but they don’t really care about what type of condom to be used. Because as long as she is assured that it won’t break, she doesn’t really care on what type of condom is being used. If you are a visitor to Japan though, a piece of advice: bring your own condoms as the size being manufactured there might not be to your liking.
And finally but in fact most interesting though, according to an expert on t! he topic – women generally, do not care about the ridges, ribbing or the lubrication, "The thing is that condoms are designed by men", She asserts that if women were to be the ones to do this designing, they would make "padded" condoms. Length may not really be crucial, but according to her, width is and that is where the padding comes in.
